Advocaat appointed Russias football coach

Dutchman Dick Advocaat has been appointed Russia’s new football national team coach, replacing his compatriot Guus Hiddink, president of the Russian Football Association, Sergei Fursenko, said. The 62-year-old Advocaat has resigned as Belgium coach. He has already trained the Russian Zenit team of Saint Petersburg and led the club to victory in the 2008 UEFA Cup.
