Aborted flight of Gary Powers

Francis Gary Powers Jr., the son of a CIA pilot shot down over the USSR during a reconnaissance mission 50 years ago, is on a visit to Russia to present an exposition of the Cold War Museum at the Moscow Central Armed Forces Museum. On May 1st, 1960, a U2 spy plane, flown by Francis Gary Powers, violated Soviet airspace.
