Student housing: Introducing room-finding service Kamernet.nl Kamernet.nl is a Dutch-language room-finding service. However, even if you don’t speak any Dutch you’ll still be able to use the site as it includes an English-language section.

Housing in the Netherlands

Over 16 million people live in the Netherlands, making it one of the most densely populated countries in the world. It can be difficult to find housing at reasonable prices, especially in cities such as Amsterdam, Utrecht, Rotterdam and The Hague.

How can Kamer.nl help?

Kamernet.nl is a service to help people find affordable accommodation in the Netherlands. The rooms offered on the site are particularly well-suited to students, but most landlords don’t mind renting out to non-students. Typical accommodation advertised on Kamernet.nl is rooms in houses, small apartments and studios, often in downtown locations near the universities or colleges.

Why Kamernet.nl?

Kamernet.nl is the largest site for rentals under EUR 1200 in the Netherlands. Since its launch in April 2000, Kamernet.nl has helped over 200,000 people find housing and the site receives over 6000 new advertisements for rooms per month.

Neither Kamernet.nl nor the landlords advertising their rooms on Kamernet.nl require you to pay the one month commission (the so-called courtage) that most rental agencies charge. This means that Kamernet not only works faster but is also several hundreds of euro cheaper than the many commercial housing agencies operating in the cities.
