Rotterdam Unlimited celebrates the diversity at it's best. Artists from various cultures, backgrounds and lifestyles meet, interact and co-create at this vibrant festival. Rotterdam Unlimited is a five-day festival with a multidisciplinary program of music, dance, theater, poetry and storytelling; with stages, tents, parades and other mobile accessories. The festival is also a platform for the presentation of metropolitan top talents.

Things to do in Rotterdam

Rotterdam is a major port city in the Netherlands and is home to The Maritime Museum, a large indoor market hall and well renowned architecture. Amongst these things to do in Rotterdam, the Rotterdam Unlimited festival celebrates summer in style and welcomes many vistors to the city during the month of July.

Music on the big stage

Rotterdam Unlimited presents spectacular acts and artists on the free accessible outdoor stages. With more than 60 acts and top artists from all over the world you'll have no excuse for being bored.

Visit Rotterdam Unlimited for the Summer Carnival

The Summer Carnival street parade will be back on 29 July and it's going to be huge as always. The city of Rotterdam will be overwhelmed by a wave of colors, joy and an incredible boost of energy. More than 30 floats, 2,500 dancers, a parade over 5km in length, the most beautiful costumes and more. Also the Battle of Drums, with the most spectacular percussion acts will be present. Summer Carnival turns the streets of Rotterdam into one massive street party and everyone is invited. Carnival in the Netherlands is not to be missed.

Special projects

Rotterdam is proud to be a city of many cultures. Rotterdam has more than 174 different nationalities and cultures that all have a strong tradition in the field of art and culture. Surinamese, Antilleans, Chinese, Turks, Moroccans are just a few of the many cultures that are at home in Rotterdam. These cultural traditions will be presented and celebrated at the Rotterdam Unlimited festival. Get a flavour of life within a foreign culture.

Rotterdam agenda: Festival market

How to get to the festival in Rotterdam

It is difficult to reach the festival by car. Rotterdm Unlimited's organisers recommend you use public transport to access the festival locations.

The festival will be held from Tuesday 25 July to Saturday 29 July 2017 and is free.
