Soundsofmusic presents four days of music full of surprises in Groningen's city centre from 27 to 30 October. The programme includses concerts, installations and film projects by current producers.
Soundsofmusic 2016 features colourful concerts by international musicians such as cellist Jean-Guihen Queyras, soprano Salome Kammer, the Bozzini Quartet and the Atlas Ensemble. It aims to feed curious ears, but also to inspire and stimulate visitors to reflecton the future of music.
Sharp thinkers like Micha Hamel, Jacob TV, Maarten Doorman, Joke Hermsen, Marten Meester and Bas van Puttten are guests during this year's edition of the festival. Moreover, German composer Helmut Oehring, one of the most interestingcurrent voices on the topic of European music, will also join for two days. Helmut Oehring, Salome Kammer and Jean-Guihen Queyras will share their knowledge with students of the Prince Claus Conservatorium in public masterclasses.
Concerts, films, debates and installations will take place at various locations throughout the Groningen's city centre, such as Grand Theatre, Groninger Forum, Der Aa church, Lutheran church, Sign.
