Pride Amsterdam

Comments0 comments

Between 29 July and 6 August 2017 the city of Amsterdam will explode with colour. Join people from all walks of life in the Dutch city to celebrate individuality and gay pride.

Various events will be held accross the city this summer as part of Pride Amsterdam. Whether you're living in the city, or traveling to the capital for the event, expect crowds.

Pride Park

On Saturday July 29, 2017, under the title 'Pride Park', the Vondelpark will once again be a sign of love and filled with a rainbow to LHBT activities. As an opening of the Pride 2017, visitors will all walk the Pride Walk to the Vondelpark. There'll be a rainbow market where you go shopping and get to know the LHBT related organisations and associations. If you get dressed sportily, you can join a self-defense clinic, rugby game or play a game of volleyball. The women will have a soccer tournament and can talk to each other about issues such as women empowerment. In addition, more bicultural lesbian visibility will be placed in the park with beautiful portraits. For the youth, there's a playground reserved for meeting each other, dancing in the silent disco, making nice non-alcoholic cocktails or flying on a broom and playing a game of ball. The Outdoor Theater will also feature again this year as a festival heart and stage offering to artists like Shary-An Nivillac, Lois Lane, Sjors van der Panne, and Janey Jacke.
