The plunging price of oil sees petrol being priced at its lowest since 2005.

20 November 2008

THE NETHERLANDS – The average price of petrol in the Netherlands continues to fall drastically on Wednesday.

Petrol is priced at EUR 1.30 per litre and is at its lowest since the start of 2005.

In summer, the price stood at a record high of nearly EUR 1.70 per litre. Since then, the price has plummeted as demand for fuel fell due to the worsening economic climate.

Diesel and other fuels have also become cheaper, but their prices have not fallen as dramatically as that of petrol.
