THE NETHERLANDS - More Dutch citizens are using the internet to watch television or listen to the radio.

A survey by Statistics Netherlands has revealed that half of those who surf the internet now use it to listen to the radio, read news or watch television, a 50 percent increase from three years ago.

The survey also found that a quarter of those who surf the internet do so via a mobile phone. Seventy-five percent of the Dutch population do their banking via the internet now as compared to 60 percent in 2005.
