Two more people in the Netherlands have died from the H1N1-flu virus, taking the total to four, the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) has said.

The Netherlands - Two more people in the Netherlands have died from the H1N1-flu virus, taking the total to four, the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) has said.

The two new casualties are a 52-year-old man and a woman aged 85. Both were suffering from other serious ailments which had undermined their health.

Ninety people are in Dutch hospitals with symptoms of the so-called Mexican or swine flu.

Although general practitioners are reporting a slight rise in the number of people calling in with flu symptoms, the RIVM says there are no indications that the virus is spreading at an increased rate.
