Amsterdam metro station is world famous for its architecture

Metro station Kraaiennest, between Amsterdam and Amstelveen, was rebuilt in 2013 and photographer Luuk Kramer made a series of photos of the new station which he put on social media websites.

The photos, showing the station’s laser-cut stainless steel, have since been picked up by international architecture sites which are full of praise for the design.

Earlier this year Kraaiennest was awarded the RIBA European Award by the Royal Institute of British Architects.

The prize is given annually to a European project.
