Two Zimbabwean ministers have asked the Netherlands for financial support.

THE HAGUE - Two Zimbabwean ministers have asked the Netherlands for financial support. The ministers, both from the former opposition MDC party, say Zimbabwe needs the money in order to recover from the economic and financial crisis in the country.

Earlier this week, Cooperation Development Minister Bert Koenders said it was too soon to restore the development relationship with Harare.

Mr Koenders said he would investigate whether it was possible for the Netherlands, along with other countries, to give more direct help to ordinary Zimbabweans.
