Youth math geniuses converge on Amsterdam

The International Mathematical Olympiad kicks off today in Amsterdam.

Nearly 600 high school students from 103 countries are participating in the 52nd edition of the Olympiad. It is the first time the prestigious weeklong competition is held in the Netherlands.

All contending teams, which consist of six pupils and two coaches, have to solve a mathematical problem in 4.5 hours. The winning team will be announced on Saturday.

    I seriously hope that this article was written by an American. It's maths, not math!
