FRIESLAND - Police in Friesland tracked down a group of illegal autocross riders after they posted a clip of their exploits on YouTube.

In April, the group ruined the grass on a stretch of land belonging to the Dutch Petroleum Society by driving a car all over it. They filmed the incident and posted it on YouTube.

But the police were able to identify the owner of the car from the licence plate shown in the clip and he will now have to pay EUR 1,000 in compensation to the Dutch Petroleum Society.
