26 November 2007, ROERMOND – It turns out that two of the five kidnappers of a 46-year-old woman from Echt are in fact former employees of the victim, police said on Monday.

ROERMOND – It turns out that two of the five kidnappers of a 46-year-old woman from Echt are in fact former employees of the victim, police said on Monday.

The five suspects, all originally from Lebanon, one of whom is a 13-year-old boy, reportedly kidnapped the woman on Friday evening and demanded ransom money from her partner.

An arrest team rescued the woman on Saturday evening in a hotel in Roermond and arrested the five. The suspects, two boys aged 13 and 17, two men aged 24 and 38, and a 37-year-old woman will be arraigned before an examining judge in Roermond on Tuesday.

The police did not want to comment further on the case.
