AMSTERDAM — A woman died after she and her three children were found with stab wounds in their home in Naaldwijk on Thursday morning.
Police have arrested a 39-year-old man but they have not said what — if any — link there was between him and the victims.
Neighbours heard the woman screaming in the morning and called the police, NOS Nieuws said.
Officers found the severely wounded woman lying outside her home. Her two daughters, aged 1 and 2, were seriously injured in the flat and her son 12 was lying in the basement.
The four victims were rushed in critical condition to hospital where the woman died. The woman's eldest daughter, 13, had already gone to school.
Neighbours told the media the woman and her family had only recently moved into the flat.
