AMSTERDAM – The Dutch Meteorological Institute (KNMI) has issued a weather alert for Thursday. It predicts heavy snowfall in some parts of the country.

The precipitation will start in the south in the morning and advance northwards as the day goes on. The heaviest snow is expected during the evening rush hour.

The KNMI predicts between 5 and 10 cm of snow. The meteorological institute does not expect the weather to cause much trouble for the morning rush hour.

“There could be some problems in the south, but most of the snow will be falling later in the day,” said a spokesperson.
