THE HAGUE - Police searching a house in The Hague for weapons made an unexpected discovery: they found a 90-centimetre spectacled caiman, together with the 29-year-old resident's large supply of drugs.

The caiman has now been taken into protection by the Iguana Foundation. Spectacled caimans can grow up to two and a half metres in length.
