Anti-Islam MP Geert Wilders goes on trial for hate speech. The leader of the right-wing Dutch Freedom Party is being prosecuted for hate speech, inciting discrimination and insulting muslims as a group.
The legal battle is seen as a test of the boundaries of free speech in the Netherlands, though Mr Wilders sees a chance to vindicate his beliefs about the Islamic faith.
