Veterans commemorate Battle of Arnhem

An estimated 10,000 people attended the 65th commemoration of the Battle of Arnhem in the military cemetery at Oosterbeek on Sunday, according to a spokesperson for the Stichting Airborne Herdenkingen Airborne Commemorations Foundation.

Around 60 World War II veterans were present to honour the fallen. The commemoration service is held annually at the Airborne Cemetery, where more than 1750 Polish and British soldiers are buried.
