A man, who appeared earlier on TV in his underpants to publicise animal rights, is now arrested for planning an attack on an unspecified target and possessing a firearm.

The Netherlands – A Dutch animal rights activist was arrested Monday for planning an attack on an unspecified target and possessing a firearm.

The police who were acting on a tip off believed the man, Peter J, 24, was planning an attack on an unspecified target and possessed weapons.

The activist was arrested at his mother’s home where his two computers were also confiscated by the police.

Peter J was dubbed the ‘vegan streaker’ a year ago after he disrupted a popular live Saturday night television show when he showed up clad only in his underpants in a bid to publicise animal rights.

He was also arrested for releasing 2,500 mink from a farm in April but was later released on account that he had to take care of his sick mother.

Trouw reports Peter J’s lawyer denies that his client was planning an attack and said the re-arrest is a ‘storm in a teacup’. He also brushed aside rumours that Peter J was planning to attack Queen Beatrix and a butcher’s van.

The vegan streaker is expected to be brought before the judge on Wednesday
