Two arrested in Leidseplein shooting

Two men shot a bouncer at a café in Leidseplein after an argument.

AMSTERDAM – The Amsterdam police have arrested a 21-year-old man and his brother on suspicion of shooting a bouncer at a café in Leidseplein on Sunday morning.

Police say the shooting which left the victim slightly injured was prompted by an argument near the café.

Shortly after the incident, an 18-year-old man carrying a gun, ammunition and a club was arrested near Leidseplein.
