Two Britons held for Amsterdam murder plans
Amsterdam police have detained two British men on suspicion of preparing a gangland killing.
A police spokesperson in the Dutch capital said four other British suspects had been released. They were all arrested on 10 June, but police say this was kept secret because of the ongoing investigation. More arrests may follow.
Three machine guns, two handguns and munitions were confiscated after officers raided the suspects' homes. Police say it is not clear who was being targeted; they were acting on a tip-off from the British authorities about two Liverpool gangs who are engaged in a feud which has led to victims on both sides.
