THE NETHERLANDS -- First-generation Turks have more problems with the Dutch language than other immigrants, according to a survey conducted by the Dutch statistics office, the CBS.

Around 21 percent of immigrants from Turkey have trouble speaking, reading and writing Dutch. The figure for first-generation Moroccans is 15 percent. Most immigrants have difficulty in writing Dutch.

The CBS reports that Turks and Moroccans of the second generation rarely have problems with Dutch.
