AMSTERDAM – Train service to and from Schiphol has resumed once again. It was disrupted for some time this morning after the report of a fire in the Schiphol tunnel.

Train started running again between Schiphol and Amsterdam, and between Schiphol and Amsterdam Zuid at about 8.15 am.

The report of fire was received at about 7 am. ProRail reports that a short circuit connected with the ventilation system caused a odour that smelled like burning. The fire brigade ascertained that there was no actual fire however.
