UTRECHT – Train service between The Hague HS and Rotterdam is not on schedule this morning, and fewer trains are running between The Hague and Gouda. Rail infrastructure manager ProRail announced this on Monday.

Travellers between The Hague and Utrecht should expect delays of 30 to 60 minutes as fewer trains are servicing this route at the moment because of problems with crossings. "It was probably lightning damage gave rise to the problems," a spokesperson said.

Damage from lightning that struck in Delft on Sunday is still causing delays of 15 to 30 minutes to service between The Hague HS and Rotterdam.
