UTRECHT – Rail infrastructure manager ProRail announced this afternoon that the problems with train service between The Hague and Gouda and The Hague HS and Rotterdam have been solved.

Fewer trains were operating on these routes on Monday morning. Delays of up to an hour hindered travellers between The Hague and Utrecht until 1 pm. Service has gradually returned to normal on this route.

Damage caused by lightning had led to delays of up to 30 minutes between The Hague HS and Rotterdam today. A number of technical parts had to be replaced but repair works were completed at 2.50 pm. Service on that route is slowly returning to normal, ProRail reports.
