THE HAGUE – Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende and deputy prime ministers Wouter Bos and Andre Rouvoet have reached agreement on how the EUR 10 billion available for new policy will be spent.

It was announced last week that about 140 plans were circulating in the government and that the ministers could not agree on which plans would actually receive financing.

Balkenende, Bos and Rouvoet have now assembled a list of 70 plans that will be financed with the EUR 10 billion.

The ministers will discuss tonight with fellow government members of their own party. The cabinet meeting tomorrow will be devoted to the discussion. The plans will not be presented for another three weeks however.
