Time to go, Mr Gaddafi
Muammar Gaddafi should give up his fight, according to Dutch Foreign Minister Uri Rosenthal. "His time is up," he said on Monday.
"The people's call for freedom and democracy, combined with patience and endurance, have brought the Gaddafi regime to its knees. Now the transition to democracy should be made with all due care," Minister Rosenthal said.
He explained that Gaddafi should put an end to the fighting and prevent more bloodshed. Members of the Gaddafi regime who are responsible for crimes against humanity should be brought before the International Criminal court, Mr Rosenthal added. He applauded the arrest of the Libyan leader's son Saif al Islam. "This fulfils the ICC's international arrest warrant. Now the law should run its course."

The Dutch participation in Operation Unified Protector began in March. It's aimed at protecting the Libyan population, and enforcing the arms embargo and the no-fly zone over Libya.
The vessel HNLMS Haarlem is patrolling in the Mediterranean to help check the arms embargo at sea and to sweep mines.
The Dutch armed forces' involvement in Unified Protector is set to continue without change.
