ANTILLES -- A third suspect has been detained Sunday in connection with the disappearance of Dutchwoman Marlies van der Kouwe on the Dutch Antilles island of Bonaire in the Caribbean.

The latest suspect to be arrested is the brother of the main suspect, who has been in custody for over two weeks after the 24-year-old went missing three weeks ago. A friend of his was also arrested on Saturday.

On 20 September, Van der Kouwe, disappeared after a night out at a popular bar. She was seen being dragged off her bicycle by one or two assailants on a scooter. Only her bicycle and flip-flops were found.

Van der Kouwe was on the island for three weeks where she was working at a chemist as a pharmacy assistant.

Police on Bonaire have put up posters across the island calling on people to come forward with information.
