The Netherlands is one of the best places in the world to grow old, according to a new index compiled by international lobby group HelpAge.org.

The Global Age Watch ranking is topped by Sweden, followed by Norway, Germany and the Netherlands. Afghanistan is bottom of the list of 91 countries.

The ranking is based on 13 different factors, including income, jobs, education, the environment and healthcare. The Netherlands tops the list in terms of the living environment, which covers factors such as safety on the streets, the proximity of friends and family and public transport.

In terms of health, however, the Netherlands is in 18th place.

Perhaps one of the worst for young and working people. Because all they make has to go into taxes for paying the old age.
