An accident on the A12 near Voorburg in the direction of The Hague has closed off the motorway.

THE HAGUE – An accident on the A12 near Voorburg in the direction of The Hague has closed off the motorway. It is consequently almost impossible to reach the city by car at the moment.

Traffic was at a standstill for 17 km on the A12 at about 8 am this morning, motorist association ANWB reported.

Traffic has come to a standstill on the A4 and A13 as well because of the accident near Voorburg. There are eight km of tailbacks on the A4 between Den Haag-Zuid and the Prins Clausplein. Traffic in the other direction is at a standstill for 15 km from Roelofarendsveen. Traffic is also at a standstill for 15 km on the A13 headed for The Hague.

A lorry, delivery van and passenger vehicle were involved in the accident near Voorburg.
