24th January 2009, Comments 0 comments

Dozens of people who were treated by a former neurologist at a hospital in the east of the country are going to sue him for telling them they were terminally ill knowing they were not.

THE NETHERLANDS - The neurologist worked at the Medisch Spectrum Twente hospital  between the late 1970s and 1984.

A lawyer for the patients accuses the doctor of lying and forging documents. He also is alleged to have used blood samples for DNA tests without the patients' consent.

The lawyer will also take legal action against some former board members of the hospital.
