15 June 2007, AMSTERDAM – The Portuguese police were unable to find anything at the location indicated by an anonymous letter received by the Telegraaf as the site where Madeleine McCann lay buried. Police had cordoned off a piece of shrubland and started searching with sniffer dogs this morning just after dawn. The place indicated by the letter lies about 15 km from the resort where Madeleine was vacationing with her parents and siblings over a month ago.

Police had cordoned off a piece of shrubland and started searching with sniffer dogs this morning just after dawn. The place indicated by the letter lies about 15 km from the resort where Madeleine was vacationing with her parents and siblings over a month ago.

The anonymous tip received by the Telegraaf is just one of many that police have followed up on, without any result so far.
