Tax authority receives "powder letter"

A letter containing an unidentified powder was discovered in the mail room of the tax authority's office in Eindhoven on Friday morning.

EINDHOVEN – A letter containing an unidentified powder was discovered in the mail room of the tax authority's office in Eindhoven on Friday morning. Fourteen employees present at the time were briefly put in quarantine. The remaining staff continued to work as usual.

A spokesperson for the fire brigade has reported this.

The letter has been sent to a laboratory in Bilthoven for investigation. The results are expected Friday evening.

The two employees who came in contact with the letter were instructed to shower at work. The remaining 12 were sent home and advised to shower.
