ROTTERDAM – TNT Post business customers will be able to send their post without impact on climate from now on. A special website allows them to calculate how much CO2 emission their post causes.

This emission can be compensated with a contribution to green energy in India. TNT will double the contribution of the participating customers.

The ministry of housing, spatial planning and the environment is the first client to make use of the compensation scheme.

TNT has adopted a park with more than 30 windmills in India and the company is involved in other climate projects as well. The business is taking a number of measures in hopes of achieving CO2 neutral operations.

Currently the company emits more than 826,000 tonnes in carbon dioxide.
