Swedish film wins Black Tulip Award

The Swedish horror film 'Let the Right One In' has won the Black Tulip Award at the 25th Amsterdam Fantastic Film Festival.

AMSTERDAM - The Swedish horror film 'Let the Right One In' has won the Black Tulip Award at the 25th Amsterdam Fantastic Film Festival.

The film, by the Swedish director Tomas Alfredson, portrays  a 12-year-old boy who is bullied at school. He flees into a fantasy life with dark undercurrents. He befriends a girl who tells him that she must drink blood in order to stay alive.

The Black Tulip Award was established in 2006.
