Sven Kramer wins third all-round world title

Dutch speed skater Sven Kramer has won his third consecutive world title as all-rounder in the Norwegian city of Hamer.

HAMER - The skater from Friesland is the fifth skater ever to win three consecutive all round world titles. Up to now, the only Dutchman to achieve this was Ard Schenk.

In the women's all-round championship, the first Dutch competitor is Ireen Wüst, who won the title in 2007, in third place, followed by title defender Paulien van Deutekom in fifth, Jorien Voorhuis in sixth and Renate Groenewold in seventh position.
