BREDA – A 16-year-old boy from Oosterhout was injured in a stabbing at a school in Breda on Monday morning. A police spokesperson announced this today. The student is not in danger for his life.

The stabbing at the Florijn College on the Wilhelminasingel occurred at about 10.15 am. The perpetrator turned himself into police shortly after.

The school administration says that the two people involved had been arguing for some time. The 18-year-old perpetrator was involved in another fight last Thursday, in response to which the school planned to suspend or transfer him to another school.

As far as is known the perpetrator acted alone. Students were sent home after the incident.
