Srebrenica suspect arrested in Israel
Aleksander Cvetkovic, a suspect in the Srebrenica genocide, has been arrested in Israel. He is accused of being one of eight members of the firing squad which was active in the Bosnian Muslim enclave.
An estimated 8,000 Muslims were killed in the forests near Srebrenica. Cvetkovic is wanted in Bosnia on charges of genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity. Bosnia filed a request for Cvetkovic's extradition immediately after his arrest was announced. Cvetkovic and his wife and children emigrated to Israel in 2006.
