AMSTERDAM — Few if any of the comedians and cabaret performers from 'Kopspijkers' will accompany Jack Spijkerman to the new television network 'Tien'.
The claim was made by cabaret artist Erik van Muiswinkel on Wednesday. Spijkerman's permanent assistant Bert Visscher is also expected to refuse the transfer to Tien.
Van Muiswinkel said the rest of the team, including Mike Boddé, Thomas van Luyn and Sanne Wallis de Vries are also opposed to the switch, 'RTL News' reported on Wednesday.
"Jack has surprised us with his transfer. The atmosphere is now certainly not one of everyone gladly getting to work on his new TV programme. I think that he misjudged that," Van Muiswinkel said.
Spijkerman recently announced his intention to swap from public broadcaster Vara to Tien, the new commercial broadcaster of media entrepreneur John de Mol.
In response, a disgruntled Vara canned his popular satirical show which casts a tongue-in-cheek look at Dutch current events, politicians and the royal family.
