Soul singer Burke dies in Amsterdam
The American soul singer Solomon Burke has died at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport aged 70 after flying in from Los Angeles. Police at Schiphol said he died of natural causes inside the plane after touch-down. His body will be returned to the US next week.
Burke, who often performed in the Netherlands, had been due to release a new compact disc, "Hold on Tight", with the Dutch band
