AMSTERDAM — A man was allegedly stabbed and killed by his 30-year-old son in The Hague on Tuesday, a day after a similar incident occurred in the east of the country.

Police blamed the killing in the Frambozenstraat in The Hague on relationship problems. The incident took place shortly before midday.

The son reportedly remained with his father's body after the killing and he did not put up any resistance when police arrested him. It was the third stabbing in the Netherlands in as many days.

A 15-year-old was arrested in the eastern town of Ommen on Monday for allegedly stabbing his 62-year-old father. The victim was admitted to hospital with serious injuries.

A 15-year-old youth was stabbed and killed in Rotterdam South on Sunday night. Police have arrested six teenagers, aged 14 to 18. One of them, a 16-year-old Rotterdam boy, has allegedly given a partial confession.
