SCHIPHOL – It has emerged that some of the taxi cabs at Schiphol use a special device to manipulate the calculation of kilometres travelled. The Royal Marechaussee said on Wednesday that this was one of the first results of a large-scale check of taxis at the airport.

"We received indications of this a few days ago," says spokesperson Rob Stenacker. "That is why we have launched this large operation. Ten such devices have already been found in taxis, but this is just the start,"
