Photographs under investigation in connection with the sex abuse case at creches in Amsterdam show the abuse goes further than just touching. The images show children under the age of two being raped reports Dutch daily De Telegraaf. The paper bases its claims on investigation sources.

Creche worker Robert Mikelsons was arrested on Tuesday last week after a tip from child abuse investigators in America on suspicion of abusing dozens of children in his care as babysitter and child care worker. His partner Richard van Olffen was arrested days later. Richard van Olffen managed 30 websites. The paper reports that this delay gave him four days to remove possible evidence and secure the websites.

Detectives only made copies of the sites yesterday. Experts from the Netherlands Forensic Institute are looking into whether child pornography is hidden on them.

The websites do not all belong to Mr van Olffen. One of the sites was for the staff of the bus company he worked for, Connexxion. The site contained child pornography that only he could access. The site has now been taken off air. The couple also managed websites for small private companies. Some of them only sold a single product. The police is investigating whether some webstores were being used as payment platforms to download pornography.

In 2006, Richard Van Olffen registered the website africafilms.nl in the period that his partner worked in an orphanage in Kenya. reports that the website was active until a year ago.

Meanwhile, staff at one of the creches at the centre of the scandal , have been on the receiving end of threats and verbal abuse. A husband of one employee told the paper that the creche is receiving regular hate calls by telephone.

Outside the creche, people have reportedly shouted abuse. The manager of the creche resigned after it emerged that he held slumber parties for children leaving the creche. A second creche worker was also arrested last week in connection with the case.
