Senior Gazprom staff killed in plane crash

In Russia, a helicopter carrying senior staff from the state-owned gas company Gazprom crashed, killing eight on board.

Moscow -- Three others survived but are seriously injured. The passengers were returning from a hunting expedition in Russia's Altai region.

One of the dead is the high-ranking Kremlin functionary Aleksander Kossopin.

Although the accident occurred three days ago, the wreckage of the helicopter was only discovered today. The cause of the crash remains unknown.
