Second dressage gold for Cornelissen

Dutch rider Adelinde Cornelissen on Jerich Parzival has won her second gold at the FEI European Dressage Championships 2011 in Rotterdam. She came top in the Grand Prix Freestyle on Sunday.

Her score of 88.768 procent kept her well ahead of Great Britain’s Carl Hester, on Uthopia, and Sweden’s Patrik Kittel, riding Watermill Scandic.

First gold She had already won gold on Saturday, retaining her title in the Grand Prix Spécial. In spite of making a slight mistake during the dressage sequence, she scored 82.113 percent, just half a percent in front of Carl Hester. The bronze medal went to British rider Laura Bechtolsheimer on Mistral Hojris.
