Second Suspect Bill Collectors Attack Arrested
A second young man suspected in the attack on two bill collectors at an Amsterdam bookstore has been detained.

AMSTERDAM — The police arrested a 25-year-old man yesterday afternoon, suspected of having been involved in an attack on two bill collectors. The collectors were attacked in August last year.
The suspect contacted the police himself after they had searched his apartment earlier yesterday. The suspect is scheduled to meet the inquisitor on Thursday, ANP reports.
Another suspect was arrested in connection with this case in October last year. The 21-year-old will attend his first court hearing this Wednesday, accused of a double murder attempt and fire-raising
During the attack on the bill collectors on 29 August last year at a bookstore in the district of Nieuw-Sloten in Amsterdam, both collectors were heavily wounded. Two attackers threatened the store staff and visitors with a gun. Then one of the robbers used an liquid explosive to start a fire, which quickly spread across half of the store. According to the police, the collectors are still recovering from their wounds.
