AMSTERDAM — Train services resumed in Hilversum on Thursday afternoon as experts declared a bomb scare at the nearby ROC school to be a false alarm.

The drama began on Thursday morning when a man walked into the school building with a bag. When he left, he placed the bag under a container behind the school.

A bomb disposal team was called in and it declared the bag was harmless. The suspect was arrested.

Train services on the line next to the school were also suspended until shortly after 3pm, the police said.

Trains between Delft and Schiedam were also disrupted from 11am to 2.15pm after a collision on the line.
