As expected, there are high concentrations of ash in northern areas of Dutch airspace today, but flights to and from Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport have not been disrupted. Experts do not expect any problems to develop later in the day.

Iceland’s Grimsvötn volcano which caused the ash cloud stopped being active around 4am on Wednesday. Icelandic meteorologists say the ash has almost completely disappeared from the skies around Iceland.
