An investigation conducted at Amsterdam's Schiphol airport at the request of the police has revealed that its cargo area is vulnerable to crime and terrorism.

AMSTERDAM - According to news agency ANP, which has obtained a copy of the secret report, many companies operating at the airport think customs and police are not doing enough to tackle crime there.

The probe also found information lacking, making it harder to detect and apprehend any suspects.

However, according to the investigation, airports in London, Paris, Frankfurt and Madrid were experiencing very similar problems.
